Sunday Walking Street (Lard Yai)

The Old Phuket Town Walking Street, locally known as Lard Yai or Talaad Yai, is a big market that takes place every Sunday along the historical Thalang road in downtown Phuket. The street is closed to traffic from 4pm and transformed into a lively walking street with many shops and stalls selling souvenirs, clothes, food, and entertainment including live music and street shows. The event runs from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm, offering visitors an atmosphere reminiscent of the old era with Sino-Portuguese buildings lining the street.
